  Our Purpose:


  VEDC’s primary purpose is to make Visalia’s business climate as conducive to smart growth as possible. The VEDC works to present our    city and its opportunities in the most positive light possible to potential new businesses by partnering with local agencies including,


  • The Visalia Chamber of Commerce
  • The City of Visalia
  • the Tulare County Economic Development Corporation
  • The Workforce Investment Board of Tulare County 



  VEDC is a catalyst, for creating a positive business climate by facilitating a stronger link between the business community, city, and local    education/training programs, to ensure adequate infrastructure investments are made.


  The VEDC is committed to projects that address job creation, education and training, and positive growth with an emphasis on the       

  Visalia Industrial Park as a key center of employment.

Business Engagement Visits:

The VEDC's business Engagement Initiative fosters strong connections with local businesses through on-site visits and tours, we learn about your needs in infrastructure, growth and workforce development.


Our goal: to provide tailored support, connect you to resources, and advocate for solutions that dirve growth and opportunities in Visalia's industrial sector. 


Childcare Needs Assessment

The VEDC, in partnership with the City of Visalia, is exploring an exciting opportunity to bring a new childcare facility to the heart of the Industrial Park. 


We are currently conducting interest and feasibility surveys. If you are interested in providing feedback that will help guide us in creating a solution that strengthens families, businesses, and the local workforce, contact our Executive Director.

The VEDC partners with the Workforce Investment Board of Tulare County Business Services team to engage with local businesses to understand their needs and provide resources and tools for expansion and employee retention.
