The VEDC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed in 1996 to help businesses thrive and create jobs.
Members support the work of the VEDC through annual dues, with additional financial support from the City of Visalia.

The VEDC primarily concentrates on the Visalia Industrial Park, with a focus on

  • Business attraction: Working with the City of Visalia to provide information, contacts, tours and other resources for businesses looking to expand or relocate.
  • Business retention: Identifying areas of need and concern and helping to remove barriers to growth and success.
  • Business climate: Working with the City and the Chamber of Commerce to help ensure that Visalia remains a pro-business community, with streamlined processes at City Hall, reasonable policies and appropriate fees.
